Summer Camp 2022 Instructors

Our exceptional instructors have reached elimination rounds at various national tournaments including the Yale Invitational, the Princeton Classic, the Columbia University Invitational, Barkley Forum at Emory University, the Harvard National Forensics Tournament, and the Tournament of Champions.

With over 2-4 years of Public Forum Debate experience and additional years of public speaking experience each, our instructors look forward to using their expertise to teach students about the activity they have grown to love.

Olivia Li

Co-Founder and President

Olivia is a senior at ABRHS. She has placed within the Top 10 of national tournaments such as the Silver Tournament of Champions, the Tim Averill Invitational, and the La Costa Canyon Winter Classic. She has also reached late elimination rounds at the Columbia Invitational and the Harvard National Tournament. On the MA circuit, she was the semifinalist of Mardi Gras, 1st speaker at Needham March Merryness, and 4th speaker at MA States. Olivia also coaches debate at the local middle school. She's super excited to instruct at Horizons Debate!

Samuel Liu

Vice President

Sam is a rising senior at ABRHS. He has achieved success across various national tournaments and even championed the Bingham Invitational and the Paradigm Dowling Catholic Tournament, two nationally acclaimed tournaments, and reached elimination rounds at Yale and Columbia. He is a two-time MA state quarterfinalist and was ranked as the first seed in his sophomore year. He has also qualified for the Tournament of Champions twice as well as the NCFL Grand Nationals in DC.

Nishi Maydipalle

Program Manager

Nishi Maydipalle is a rising senior at Westborough High School and has debated for 2 years. He has reached elimination rounds in the Princeton and Badgerland tournaments on the national circuit and has qualified for the NCFL Grand National tournament. Outside of debate he coaches freshmen at his high school and teaches piano. He's excited to teach at Horizons Debate!

Anirudh Manoj is a rising senior and debate captain at Acton Boxborough Regional High School. He has reached late elimination rounds at many national circuit tournaments including the Yale Invitational, Scarsdale Invitational, and championing the Dowling Catholic tournament and Bingham Invitational. He is a 2 time state quarterfinalist and has qualified to the Tournament of Champions and NCFL Grand Nationals. Outside of debate he also coaches speech at the middle school. He’s incredibly excited to be instructing at Horizons Debate!
